Louisiana Legislature

The Legislature and the Nov. 3 ballot

Louisiana elects its whole Legislature every four years: all 105 House seats and all 39 Senate seats are next on the ballot in the fall of 2027. One House seat is on the November 3 ballot: District 92, in Jefferson Parish, left vacant when Rep. Joe Stagni resigned on June 30, is filled in a special election. All its candidates, of every party, run on one ballot; if no one wins a majority, the top two meet on December 12. Senate District 14's special election (Sen. Larry Selders died July 7) is on December 12, and House District 77's (Rep. Mark Wright resigned September 7) begins February 6, 2027. Enter your address to see your districts.
